ROMP 2014 - Mr. and Ms San Diego Leather - DSC 4732

The weekend was well attended and enjoyed by all. This year, we had a stellar judging panel honor us with their presence:

Judy Tallwing McCarthy, International Ms Leather 1987 - Head Judge
Lenny Broberg, International Mr. Leather 1993
Mark Holmes, Mr. San Diego Leather 1984
Wish Linda, Ms San Diego Leather 2012
Alan Tunstall, International Mr. Bootblack 2004
Aaron Duke, Mr. San Diego Leather 2012 and American Leatherman 2013
Jo Blas, Ms San Diego Leather 2000 and International Ms Leather 2000

The judging panel put four amazing contestants through their paces with interviews, fantasies, speeches and on stage questions. After it was all said and done, Sarge and Jim came out on top. Our wonderful 1st Runner-Up titleholders are: Barb Dwire as Ms San Diego Leather 1st Runner-Up and Cobi as Mr San Diego Leather 1st Runner-Up. They were all exemplary candidates and the judging panel had quite a job!

We were also pleased to be able to present four wonderful classes during the day on Saturday. The beautiful Ms. Cynthia and handsome Master Orpheus presented classes in Advanced Breath Play, Introduction to Electrical Play, Relationships and Advanced Bloodless Knife Play.

This year also marked the 20th anniversary of the Ms San Diego Leather title, making it the longest consecutively running local women's leather title in the country. The majority of our past Ms titleholders were in attendance and a wonderful presentation was made on stage for them. Kim Sontag-Mulder, the creator of the present title way back in 1994, was there as well, and presented each Ms San Diego Leather with a beautiful gift. It was amazing to see all these gorgeous women on stage at one time!

Our incredible emcees were AJ Turner and the ever fabulous Barbarella. They made the whole weekend fun, fast-paced and extremely entertaining. They had quite a job with seven contestants to introduce and process through their required appearances (we also had the San Diego Bootblack contestants on stage), but they were more than up to the task. Job well done!

The unique Victory Theater was once again the setting for the event. Valerie and Bruce were very welcoming and accommodating, as usual. We love having our event at this very special venue! Check them out at http://www.victorytheatersd.com/.

The old Mr and Ms San Diego Leather sashes have now been retired and two brand new matching ones were awarded to Sarge and Jim. These gorgeous sashes were made by Gearwerks, located in New Mexico. They did an incredible job with them and we were very proud to sash our titleholders with them. Take a peek at the photo above to see them!

Bryan, Annie and Tiger would like to thank all in attendance, our judges and staff and, most especially, our amazing contestants. This was a great weekend and we can't wait to see the mark that Sarge and Jim will make on our wonderful San Diego Leather Community. Great job everyone!
